Groups are how we make a big church smaller. Our goal is to get you into a group where you can cultivate a deeper relationship with God and others.

Life gets messy and complicated; we get stuck and struggle to move forward. Groups are designed to help people find a way out and up. They are where you go to connect with other people and develop authentic relationships. In a group you can dig deep into God’s Word and wrestle with how to apply it to your everyday life.

Whether you are just exploring or beginning your faith journey or have been walking with God a long time, we all have steps to take to become more like Christ. Groups really are the optimal place for you to become more like Christ, to be and to become all that God has promised and purposed for your life.

"Let's not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another..." Hebrews 10:25

Want to find a group that is right for you?

Community Groups

Community Groups are the ultimate “landing spot” for lasting impact and change. With seven different types of Community Groups to choose from, you can decide what fits best for you!

Each group is typically made up of 8-12 people and meets regularly throughout the ministry year (Sept. – May). Time is devoted to fellowship, study, prayer and discussion focused on the application of God’s Word to our daily lives. Many small groups follow the DIG DEEP discussion questions that are based off the central truths of the weekend’s sermon. Discussion facilitated by group leaders is both real and relevant to the unique make-up of each group. Groups launch the week of Sept. 8, but groups are starting all the time and you can join whenever you’re ready.

Something good happens when women get together! Each group and event for is specifically intended to help equip and encourage you in your walk with Christ. You can choose to sign up for a large study that breaks into smaller groups to discuss and apply the lesson, provide mutual support and pray. Or let us know you are interested in one of the many other small groups meeting throughout the week, and we’ll help you get connected.

Register now for the following group studies that kick-off the week of Sept. 8:

Ephesians: Monday 7-9pm

In the book of Ephesians, we see how the gospel story meets real life. It’s a mixed-bag of followers that form the covenant family God promised to Abraham. They, and we, are called to live in unity as one body in their families, neighborhoods, and churches.

Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer: Tuesday  9:30–11am

An invisible war rages around us. A cunning, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters - our emotions, mind, family and our future. But when the enemy meets a woman dressed for the occasion, he fails miserably. This study will challenge you to suit up, stand firm and secure victory in your life.

It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way by Lysa Terkeurst: Wednesday 9:30–11am

What do we do when our reality is so different from the picture-perfect vision we had? Come ready for fresh biblical insight to get you through painful situations, and life-giving perspectives for living in between Eden and eternity.

Precepts: Joshua - Conquering Your Enemies: Fridays 9:30–11am | Starts Dec 6th

God said, “Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed.” Increase your faith in God who has put you in His grip and will never let you go. This study will charge you up and encourage you to press on!

The Faithful - Heroes of the Old Testament: Fridays 10–11:30am  | Starts Nov 1st

Join us as we explore crucial moments in the lives of five Old Testament figures—Esther, Gideon, Malachi, Nehemiah, and Hosea. Through their stories, discover how God uses the lives of ordinary people for His glory and the good of His people.

Becoming A City On A Hill: A Fresh Look at Jesus' Teaching From Matthew 5-7: Sunday 6:30-8:30pm

Join us as we seek to look deeply and carefully at one of the most well known passages of the Bible.

What does a real man, a godly man, look like in today’s world?
Men’s groups are not only designed to answer that question, but to challenge men in their pursuit of that call. Men tend to isolate, especial when the going gets tough, but that’s not God’s desire or design. We need other men in our lives to shape and sharpen us. Fill out the group request form and we’ll help you get connected to one of the men’s small groups meeting throughout the week.

You’ll also want to check out Men’s Breakfasts this fall. These are designed to help every man at Covenant discover and deepen relationships with other men. Along with great food, there will be large group ‘teaching’ (pointed very specifically to the unique challenges men face), a personal testimony and an invitation to learn more about the weekly men’s small groups and other activities you can get plugged into.

Baptism at Covenant

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward commitment to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Covenant believes that baptism is for anyone who is a follower of Christ and his/her children. It is an opportunity to proclaim Jesus publicly! It is a step of obedience in response to a command - a way for us to identify with Christ and His church. It is an awesome celebration of all God has done for us through His death and resurrection!

If you would like to learn more about baptism, you are encouraged to attend one of these Core Classes. The class is preparation and a prerequisite for anyone planning to be baptized at Covenant. There is a class offered for teens and adults and another for those with an infant or young child. Please register for either class on-line. Lunch and childcare provided.
