It is all about Jesus!

We want church to be a safe and fun place where children are introduced to the love of God!

"Let the little children come to me..."

Dear Parents,
This time period of at-home everything-school, play, work, can be a bit challenging for everyone. We wanted to do our best to encapsulate a normal SHAPE night for your kids online. Every week you will see an update with resources for you to be the leader for your family's SHAPE night. Included in this is a video lesson from Pastor Andrew as well as some downloadable resources. You can find new video lessons every Wednesday afternoon. Each downloadable weekly and age appropriate activity will be available for Sunday mornings for you to use along with our LIVE sermon stream by using the buttons below. Please, reach out if you have an comments, questions, or need help.

About Children's Ministry at Covenant

Jesus was intentional about showing his love for children and, like him, we joyfully welcome all children into our Covenant community! We intentionally seek to meet children where they are, providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that helps them come to know, love, and serve Jesus. Parents entrust us with their children, and we take that seriously!

We offer interactive lessons based on Gospel truths instead of moral teachings. Covenant Children’s Ministry is designed to be fun and interactive – providing a safe environment for children of all ages to experience Jesus through creative, and hands-on activities. In Children’s Ministry, we offer a safe environment where students will experience the joy and adventure of serving, worshiping, knowing, and loving Jesus.

We are now in the new Childrens Center. It is so exciting! God has truly blessed us with this large new space where we can welcome more families and point more children to Jesus!

Saturdays @ 5:30pm - Birth through 3 years old.
Sundays 9am & 10:45am - Birth through 6th grade.

Every weekend, we take children on a journey through the Bible, unfolding God’s BIG STORY and discovering how every story, passage and book points to the BIG MOMENT: JESUS!

Z56 - The Zone for 5th & 6th graders, is the one class on weekends uniquely designed to prepare “tweens” for the next level. This class is meant to help the students develop a strong Christian worldview, helping them grapple with those big issues like friendships, movies, music, decisions, and of course, faith in Jesus.

Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm

Starts January 9th

Shape is for our 1st-4th graders. Shape provides community where children can have fun while growing in strong relationships with each other and the Jesus! There is a time of recreation, worship, and small group discipleship time.

Z56 Adventure

Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm
Starts January 9th

Our weeknight program is designed for the children to have fun and build relationships with one another and with Jesus.. There are both large gatherings and small groups. We dive more deeply into portions of Bible that we don’t have time for on Sundays. Ultimately, the goal is to see children grow in their walk with Jesus while growing together in their friendships.

Many fun family events will be coming up in the Spring (like Mother-Daughter Tea and Father-Son Breakfast and so much more). Stay tuned for these upcoming dates!

Safety is a top priority for our little ones!

All volunteers and staff are screened through state and national criminal and child abuse background check programs and are trained regularly in the recognition and prevention of child abuse as well as health and safety procedures.

  • Volunteers and staff are thoroughly screened, vetted, and trained.
  • Children's Center is kept secure from non-background checked adults.
  • Teachers are CPR certified.
  • Classrooms and toys are clean
  • Snacks are peanut-free
  • Check-in system is easy to use and provides the highest level of security.

Children’s Ministry is committed to partnering with families and children with differing abilities and needs. We strive to have an inclusive program where every child feels successful, included, and loved! Our program includes family partnership and planning, classroom buddies, one-on-one aides, classroom and bathroom accessibility, as well as sensory support equipment. We now have a Sensory Room where children can go if they feel overwhelmed or anxious to find peace again.

Stepping Stones is a mid-week pre-school that takes place at Covenant Church. Christ-centered learning is the foundation of our curriculum. Our program allows children to explore God’s Word and world through developmentally appropriate activities. Children at Stepping Stones enjoy learning through creative play, small and large group activities, individualized instruction as well as  hands-on learning centers. Our well-trained teachers guide the children through the creative curriculum in order to cultivate their love for learning based on Jesus and his Word.
