Leadership

Teaching Elders (TE) have the privilege of primary preaching, teaching, and pastoral opportunities with the church family. They also oversee the church staff.

Ruling Elders (RE) on Session have primary shepherding opportunities with church members and provide spiritual and administrative leadership to the church. Some Ruling Elders participate on the Elder Board, which is a commission of the Session to deliberate and decide on more routine business matters.

Ruling Elders on the Elder Board also share primary church governance responsibilities, working closely with Covenant’s Executive Leadership Team.

Covenant's Deacons and Deaconesses serve the church and community through acts of service, mercy, and other forms of practical help. They also help church members, attenders, and community members in various types of need through connecting them to Covenant's Care Team Ministry, a diverse group of volunteers and ministries within the church which offers different kinds of practical assistance.
