In early 2024 we began a 2-year generosity initiative that challenged us to go on a discipleship journey individually and as a church to grow in generosity and extend the gospel's reach in our community, region, and world. Here you'll find some updates about how your genrosity is already making a difference and how you can join the journey.

REACH UPDATES

MEET SIBUSISO
July 15, 2024

For the past two years, Covenant has partnered with Sibusiso Mlotshwa who is the Lead Pastor of The Church in Mamelodi located in South Africa. The work this church has been doing in one of South Africa’s largest and most influential townships has been transformational to many. As Covenant Church we have been able to support the ongoing work of their afterschool project thanks to our friends at LIGPUNT Church in Pretoria led by Pastor Johan Verster. Johan visited us April 21, 2024 for our World Impact Lunch, and we heard more of his heart to strengthen and plant churches in the region. Johan’s church is also pouring into many interns and ministry residents. We hope through REACH, Covenant will be able to have the same impact that LIGPUNT has had! Please join us in praying for Johan, his wife Anchen (married for 17 years), and their four children: Liam, Anaïs, Maya, and Finn. 

 

Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”


LIGPUNT, established 14 years ago, has played a key role in planting several churches in the Pretoria region. Most of these churches continue to collaborate through 'The Union,' an informal regional network. Johan is also a founding director of 'Trans:mission,' a ministry training program designed to equip men and women for Word ministry within local churches.”

PRIMARY GOAL

The primary goal of REACH is that all of us would have an encounter with Jesus and take steps in the discipleship rhythm of Generosity. Let's pray for a deeper work IN us.

 

We are earnestly praying for 100% participation in this discipleship journey, firmly believing that it will profoundly transform our practice of Christian stewardship, shaping it for a lifetime.

 

SECONDARY GOAL

Our secondary goal is faith-filled and ambitious: to rally Covenant Church to raise her standard of giving by committing to raise an extra $3,000,000 over the next two years. Let's pray for God to do a deeper work THROUGH us.

 

With our regular budget of $3,000,000 per year, that would come to a total of $9,000,000 being released to to advance the gospel's REACH in our community, region, and world!

PRIMARY GOAL

The primary goal of REACH is that everyone in Covenant Church would take a personal discipleship journey in Gospel Generosity. This being the work of God IN us. We are praying together that we will have as close to 100% participation as possible and that our practice of Christian stewardship would be forever changed.

SECONDARY GOAL

The secondary goal of REACH is raise $11 million dollars in the next 2 years (2024 & 2025) in order to fuel the work of the Gospel in our community, our local region, and around the world. We can only achieve this by a deep work of the Gospel in our hearts and by the provision of God.

 Keep Covenant Going Strong

 

Dedicate $5,400,000 to sustain and deepen the disicpleship ministry at Covenant Church.

 

  • Enrich our existing ministries and fuel our recent initiatives
  • Maintain our staff, facilities, and exisiting commitmens

 Mortgage To Mission–Free From Debt
 

Unlock new horizons by liberating ourselves from debt.

 

  • Reduce $1,000,000 in mortgage debt within the next two years.
  • Set a path to eliminate all of our $4,500,000 remaining debt over seven years.

 Recruit 10-15 Residents/Interns

 

Train ministry leaders in passing the gospel to the next generation.

 

  • $300,000 towards training young leaders in various ministry areas

 Local Outreach To Our Corner of Bucks County
 

We desire to increase our presence in Bucks County by showing up and participating in important local events and spaces.

 

  • $100,000 towards events such as farmer's markets, festivals, etc.
  • Micro-grants for members who have a passion and solid plan to evangelize

$400,000 to continue to fund and explore new ways to support ministry in our region.

 

  • Continue to support our current 23 regional and national missionaries and organizations
  • Explore new missions and ministry with the REACH initiative

 Church Planting In Our Region

 

Invest $250,000 in regional expansion of the gospel's message

 

  • Identify an area in need of a gospel-center church
  • Plant a church in this identified region

 Strengthen Churches & Ministries

 

Allocate $200,000 to equip and partner with regional churches and ministries.

 

  • Partner with 20 regional churches
  • Work with Liberty Communion of Church's, Philadelphia Gospel Movement, Brainerd Institute, and others

 Poverty Alleviation

 

Stack hands with regional organizations dedicated to serving the underprivileged - $550,000

 

  • Central Bucks Farmer's Market at Barclay Elementary
